Komori International Europe Open House
Padraic and Donnach recently attended the Komori International Autumn Open House in Utrecht, Netherlands which showcased the latest in offset, digital printing and post press technology. They attended press launches and gathered innovative ideas for use in the Irish print market. The Komori event was attended by more than 380 visitors from 25 countries. Komori provided delicious sushi for lunch to match their Japenese theme.
There was a demonstration of the new Komori G37 HUV by Jane Farnham. There were also demonstrations on the ECO G Series five colour plus coater Lithrone G540 H-UV which we have running in our press room for a year now. HUV printing provides fast turnaround with its instant drying and thus no waiting time for running a second pass. "Being able to handle and move finished stock within minutes of printing has given us a huge competitive advantage" - Padraic Kierans, MD Anglo Printers. Printing on difficult substrates is also a feature of the Komori HUV press. The press delivers high productivity and can print 16,500 sheets per hour with high quality printing guaranteed even at maximum speed.
Padraic attended an excellent seminar by speaker Rob Adams on creativity and innovation. Rob is the owner of Innovation bureau Six Fingers, Six Fingers has conducted a multiple-year research about innovations world wide. Rob was the perfect candidate to unlock our creativity and innovation. "The future starts with not knowing" - Rob Adams, Six Fingers.
The event provided great opportunities to view new equipment and innovations in the print industry. It highlighted the importance of updating equipment and technology to adapt to the changing needs of today's market and the requirements of our print clients.
