Anglo Printers Louth GAA JFC Final 2018
Thu Oct 4, 2018

The Anglo Printers Louth GAA Junior final takes place on Sunday following very exciting knockout stages along the way. We had a wee chat with the team captains of finalists Glyde Rangers and Dundalk Young Irelands to find out what makes them tick! We heard that there is great excitement in Tallanstown and Dundalk with both areas decked out in their respective Team colours. It is an honour to sponsor the Louth GAA Junior Championship and we would like to wish both teams the best of luck on the day. It promises to be a cracking match!

Trevor O' Brien - Glyde Rangers Captain

What was your most challenging moment in the Louth GAA JFC 2018 knockouts? The match against Lann Léire was challenging - they were the better team and deserved to win.

What is your ambition for the future? To win a Championship.

Most important skill? Shooting as a forward.

Pre-match meal? Pasta

Best things about the GAA? The friendships you make - you grow up with the boys.

What are your thoughts on the final?  It's going to be 50/50.

Advice for young players? Listen to your coaches and train hard.

Best game ever played in? Roche Emmets game in 2017 because we got to the final.

Cian O Naraigh - Dundalk Young Irelands Captain

What was your most challenging moment in the Louth GAA JFC 2018 knockouts? Two tough games against Malachi's and Roche Emmets. Disappointed in the first game.

What is your ambition for the future? My ambition is game by game, taking each game as it comes and be the best we can be.

Most important skill? Running, stamina.

Pre-match meal? Cottage Pie. Worked in Semi Final.

Best things about the GAA? Positive element of family and Community.

What are your thoughts on the final?  Challenges are getting tougher. The opposition have quality players.

Advice for young players? Never have fear! Just go out and enjoy the football. Keep at it - you will succeed.

Best game you have ever seen? Mayo V Dublin Final 2017, great spectacles. Mayo came the long way around. Its 15 on 15 at the end of the day.

Best game ever played in? Don't score very often, it has to be the last semi-final against Roche when I got 3 scores.

Favourite song? Dancing in the Dark - Bruce Springsteen.

Favourite pitch? Pairc Eire Óg.
